Dr. Alva Jean Chesser, Dr. Debbie Brewer, and Dr. James Daryl Chesser, share a faith filled word!

We’re in a day when the people of God are going to know more than ever that ‘greater is He Who is in us than he who is in the world’!

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4:4 MEV

We all know that leprosy is very contagious, but the healing power in Jesus was greater!!
Jesus reached out and, of all things, touched that man who had leprosy!

Jesus didn’t take what the man had, but the man took what Jesus had!!

When I was a child, I went many places with my Dad to pray for people, homes, hospitals, etc. As a result, I grew up, not being afraid of any disease, but knowing that because of God in me, the disease has to shrivel up and run away from me!

The healing Spirit of Jesus is greater than any disease, pandemic, or anything else that would try to present itself!!

“Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in Me will do the works that I do also. And he will do GREATER WORKS than these, because I am going to My Father.”
John 14:12 MEV

“When He (Jesus) came down from the mountains, large crowds followed Him.

And then a leper came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Jesus reached out His hand and touched him, saying, “I will. Be clean.”

And IMMEDIATELY his leprosy was cleansed.”
Matthew 8:1-3 MEV

God was talking to me this week about impossibilities!

“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭17:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God wants us - has called us, equipped us, gave His Son for us - to live on the other side of possible!

Abraham having a child through Hagar was possible.
Abraham’s and Sarah’s DEAD bodies bringing forth a child was IMPOSSIBLE!

The Children of Israel going around the Red Sea or building a bridge for them to cross was possible.
The Red Sea parting was impossible - not even in their thinking!

The armies of Israel fighting and defeating Goliath and the Philistines was possible.
A 17 year old nobody with no military training, no armor and only a slingshot taking out Goliath was IMPOSSIBLE!

The 3 Hebrew children being delivered from the fiery furnace was possible.
Being delivered in the fiery furnace, and the king having a vision of Jesus was IMPOSSIBLE!

When is impossible?
Impossible is when our timetable, our deadline, our faith, or our “possible” ends!

Possible is what kills our dreams and hopes because when it doesn’t happen when we thought and how we thought, we try to learn “to live with it”!

The border between possible and impossible is heavily guarded! Not just a Goliath, but an army of them.
Time - I’m too old. It’s past the time of possible.
Circumstances - what happened last time I believed?
Comfort - I’m learning to live with loss, little hope and no dreams!
Distortion and lies - these armies wave us off like a Jedi mind trick (Star Wars reference) trying to keep us from seeking passage beyond them

Let’s look at a familiar passage in John 11 - Mary, Martha and Lazarus

1 “Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. 3 Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.” 4 When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” 5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. (JESUS LOVED HIM SO MUCH THAT HE STAYED AWAY TWO DAYS LONGER. God not showing up when we think He should have is not that He abandons us, He’s got something else in mind!)

7 Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.” 8 The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?” 9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. 10 But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” 11 These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” 12 Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” 13 However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep. 14 Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. 15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.” 16 Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with Him.” (REMEMBER BRAVE THOMAS?)

17 So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. (HE FOUND THAT HE HAD BEEN IN THE TOMB FOUR DAYS? DID JESUS KNOW HE WAS DEAD, BUT GOD DIDN’T TELL HIM HOW LONG? DID THIS TEST THE FAITH OF JESUS? NO POOF MINISTRY. HE BECAME POOR TO BE CLOTHED IN HUMANITY. THE SAME SPIRIT THAT RAISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD DWELLS IN US! - “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:38‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ - the same Holy Spirit that we are anointed with!)

18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away. 19 And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. (COMFORTERS: YES, YES IT’S TRUE - HE, THE DREAM, THE EXPECTATION, THE HOPE IS DEAD. THERE, THERE. JUST ACCEPT IT. YOU CAN LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT. TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS. ENTER INTO UNBELIEF).

20 Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. 21 Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. ( MARTHA’S POSSIBLE)

22 But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” (MARTHA’S PARTIAL REVELATION. INTO EVERYONES LIFE A LITTLE RAIN MUST FALL. WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS MAKE LEMONADE!).

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” 28 And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” (WHEN? WHEN DID JESUS CALL FOR MARY? I THINK JESUS WAS ASKING MARTHA TOO MANY QUESTIONS. GASP! IMAGINE WALKING AWAY FROM THE PRYING QUESTIONS OF JESUS!)

29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him. 30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was in the place where Martha met Him. 31 Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, (DON’T GET COMFORTABLE TOO SOON! COMFORTABLE IS GETTING TO A PLACE WE CAN LIVE WITH OUR CIRCUMSTANCES) when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.” 32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” (MARY’S POSSIBLE IN THE SAME PLACE AS MARTHA’S. WE THOUGHT OUR FAITH, OUR FRIENDSHIP WITH YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN REWARDED!)

34 And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus wept. 36 Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!” 37 And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?” (THEIR POSSIBLE)

38 Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, (OY VEY) came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. 39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” (DON’T RAISE MY HOPES. DON’T CROSS THE “POSSIBLE” LINE. I’M ABOUT TO GET INTO MY COMFORTABLE PLACE)

40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. (WAS JESUS FORESEEING HIS RESURRECTION?). And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, (IS THIS OUR CONFIDENCE WHEN WE PRAY?) but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”

43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” 44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. (IMPOSSIBLE!!! NOTICE THE IMPOSSIBLE WAS STILL BOUND HAND AND FOOT, DRESSED IN DEATH!)

‭‭John‬ ‭11:1-44‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The next chapter (John 12) tells us the leaders plotted to kill Lazarus because his raised life was bringing many to believe in Jesus!

The “possible” police want to drag you back from “impossible”, shut you up, make you disappear. “Suicide” you!

“For with God nothing will be impossible.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
